Division Two Cup in memory of Michael Tzouvanni

Semi Finals

It was unusual to watch two matches at the same time at Southbury Leisure Centre on Sunday morning. I was flipping from one pitch to another as the two Division Two Cup Semi Finals in memory of Michael Tzouvanni took place. And what games they were - real cup fever matches with lots of goals and end to end action.

The final will now take place at Haringey Borough stadium on Wednesday May the 10th at 7.45. Division Two Cup in memory of Michael Tzouvanni Semi Finals Komi Kebir 5 Maronites 3 Komi Kebir got off to a great start when their first goal was flicked in from a corner by Joe Barnett. Maronites soon equalised with George Sampason tapping into an empty net at the far post. Komi regained the lead just before half time when Andreas Bryant ran on to a Luis Hanna Marks through ball and finished neatly. Maronites equalised again with a Tom Boxer overhead kick. Komi went ahead for the third time again with Andreas Bryant heading home a corner. Andreas Bryant got his hat trick soon after with another Luis Hanna Marks through ball. Maronites made the sure of a tense finish when they scrambled another goal to reduce the score to 4-3 with Tom Boxer. But Andreas Bryant made it four goals and Luis Hanna Marks 5 assists for the game when he rocketed a shot into the roof of the net to make it 5-3 and ensure Komi made it through to their first KOPA final since 1995!

Apoel 6 Achna 3

Apoel the second division champions are looking good as they try to go for a second division double and now only have Komi Kebir standing in their way.
