First Division

Omonia 5 St Panteleimon 3

What a cracking game this was with St Panteleimon starting off at a really hot pace and were two nil up within 15 minutes with both goals coming from Igli Sevajand it was looking like it was going to be their game but Ioannis Varouxakis pulled one back from the penalty spot then added a second but St Panteleimon soon recovered to retake the lead and make it 3-2 with a goal from Jack Smith. But Omonia soon showed their experience and recovered Ioannis getting a hat trick and his brother Nectarios adding another two goals one from a header and the other from a super free kick.

Anorthosis 3 KLN 2

Anorthosis got back to winning ways beating KLN and Anorthosis were coasting at 3-0 with goals from Anthony Manoli from a corner and a superb free kick goal from Danny Coolridge and a George Gregoriou penalty. But somehow they allowed KLN back into the game when Spyros Mentis scored to make it 3-1 and with 15 minutes to go with KLN now down to ten men with a player sent off they scored a super goal from Max Papacosta.

New Salamis 3 Olympia 1

It was a Steve Velandia day who scored New Salamis two opening goals one with a penalty and one with a 18 yard free kick. Olympia then pulled it back to 2-1 with a goal from David Lairdi and now Olympia were really playing well and putting pressure on the New Salamis rearguard.

But New Salamis then went onto score with Kiri Portou to make it 3-1.

Brotherhood 4 Arachne 3

Another cracking game with Brotherhood taking the game from the scruff of the neck from the start leading 3-0 with a Aaron Kennedy hat trick and now they thought they had the game in the bag but Arachne surprised everyone and came back to bring the match to 3-3 with goals from Ant Panayi and Aris Savva. But it did not end there Brotherhood had the final say when they scored in the last minute with Chris Antoni.

Second Division

Achna 5 Asha 2

The second Division were not going to miss out on all the excitement and proved it with this game when Asha took a 2-0 lead from the start with goals from Luke and Adem whose goal was out of this world when he shot against  the bar the ball came out and in a another move Adem shot from a distance straight into the back of the net.  At 2-0 Asha were awarded a penalty which super striker Chris Spyrou took but was foiled by the Achna keeper Alexandros Dapagiannis who pulled off a great save. From here on  Achna were a different team with a goal equalising early in the second half with goals from Justin Zacharia, Dassos Anastasi and then went on to win 5-2 with the other goals coming from Lenos Christodoulou, Theokli Charalambous scoring twice. Asha will not be too keen on playing Achna in the near future as they have now lost two weeks on the trot 5-1 and now 5-2.

Pantel 1 Maronites 2

Maronites started off really well in this game and they turned their possession into goals with them going 2-0 up with goals from Lewis and George and late in the game Pantel reduced the score to 2-1 with a goal from Harry Philippou.

Cetinkaya Cinar 3 Komi Kebir 0

Cetinkaya Cinar continue to improve game by game and today was no exception as pace and stubborn defending outwitted the determined Komi team. They took the lead on 18 minutes from a long goal kick by keeper Allan Buck over the Komi defence to Mark Summers who ran on beat and the Komi keeper with a superb shot. With 37 minutes gone, Komi were awarded a penalty which was saved by the Cinar keeper.

The game came alive in the second half at 59 minutes with the tricky Daniel Florence curling a low shot for 2-0. Komi now pushed hard to come back into the game but on 66 minutes a Huseyin Yildiz pass to Summers, ensured the 3 points as he managed to find the net and his brace and thats 4 goals in 2 games. The Cinar revival continues.
