First Division

Brotherhood 0 St Panteleimon 3

Both teams were coming into this game with a win from their previous games and buzzing with confidence. St Panteleimon started off strong and never allowed Brotherhood to settle and it was not long before they were rewarded with a goal when Kristian Nez scored from a rebound save from the Brotherhood keeper Demetri Melaissi. Minutes later Jack Smith scored  from a long distance shot. Second half Brother hood tried to get back into the game with Aaron Kennedy a constant threat but St Panteleimon killed the game off with a 40 yard goal from Kristian Nez to givethe Saints a 3-0 win and a second spot in the top division.

Arachne 1 Anorthosis 4

Anorthosis got a fright when a Arachne took a 1-0 lead in the early stages of the game with a goal from Lorenzos Toumazos. Anorthosis were then awarded a penalty which they missed and it seemed that it was not going to be their day but then they equalised just before the break and went onto win 4-1 for their first win of the season. Anorthosis goals came from Stavros Tsirtsipis 2 and Alex Roussis 2.

New Salamis 6 Livadia 1

It's a case of who is going to stop New Salamis in their tracks as they just seem unstoppable this season. They have now scored twelve goals in two games and only conceded one.

New Salamis scorers were Kyri Portou 2, Richard Georgiou 2, Lawrence and Alex Addi.

Omonia 4 KLN 2

Omonia really needed to win this game to get back into the swing of things after last week's defeat to New Salamis.

At one stage it looked bad for them when in the first half they found it difficult to contain KLN.

Who led 2-0 with both goals coming from Chris Papacosta but just before the break Omonia pulled a goal back with Harry Vazanias.

The second half Omonia were a changed team and we're able to settle and recover to score three goals with Ioannis 2 and Ali to pull off a 4-2 win.

Second Division

APOEL 6 Achna 2

APOEL are making a statement in the second division with an emphatic win over Achna, they managed to open the scoring in the 24th minute Alex Violaris then two minutes later made it 2-0 with Adam Lambrou and another Alex Violaris goal took APOEL into the break with a 3-0 lead into the break.

Achna were a different proposition in the second half and scored straight away then Andrew Chambi made it 4-1in the 75th minute Charles Allotey made it 5-1 then Dwayne Scored making it 6-1 with Achna scoring at the end to make it 6-2 and APOEL setting the pace for the second Division.

Maronites 4 Cetinkaya Cinar 2

Cetinkaya Cinar's squad was not recognisable from last week's selection. Nevertheless that was no excuse as Maronites took full advantage and well deserved the win.

Maronites took the lead on 36 minutes an unstoppable 30 yard drive from Harry Elia. Cinar immediately replied with a stunning volley by Salih Karakis for 1-1.

Maronites took the lead on 51 minutes as their striker Lewis Barclay went past 2 Cinar defenders with his shot beating Remzi at the near post. Once again Cinar replied immediately, a great move down the right finding Salih who turned the defender and laying his pass to Erkin(Rio) Enver, who slotted his shot home. With 16 minutes remaining Maronites caught Cinar on the break and made it 3-2 with a goal from Andy Vazanias . On 80 minutes Cinar were once again caught on the break and the striker Andy Vazanias scored his second coolly dinking the ball over Remzi for 4-2 and a great win. Early days but not the start Cinar were expecting. But Maronites are looking good.

Asha 2 Komi Kebir 3

Asha  FC went to the game a little complacent and within 4 minutes were 1-0 down to an impressive Komi Kebir who have now made it two wins out of two. Komi took the lead in the tenth minute when a Theo Vassiliou corner was headed in by Sami Menari.

Asha were soon on level terms as good build up play on their right was finished off with a smart finish from Chris Spyrou.

Asha were on top and Ari in Komi's goal made two fantastic saves to keep his team in the game. It was Komi who re took the lead when they were awarded a penalty after new signing Argyris Christofi was tripped in the box. Theo Vassiliou stepped up and scored to make it 2-1.

Asha continued to play impressive football and were awarded a penalty which new signing Adem Ali cooly slotted home for the equaliser.

In the second half both teams were looking for the winner and with about 3 minutes from the end and with the final kick of the game managed to slot the ball into the net and come away with 3 points.

There were fewer chances in a very tight second half and a point each looked a fair result untill in the last minute Theo Vassiliou who had a hand in all three of his side's goals put Kyri Christofi through and he made no mistake handing all three points to Komi.
